Marshfield and surrounding communities are about to get healthier in mind, body and spirit. After years of planning and months of construction, phase two of the YMCA  expansion and renovation project is complete. The YMCA Board of Directors and staff are thrilled to announce the opening of the new Marshfield Clinic Health System YMCA at 410 West McMillan Street on Monday, March 4, 2019.

The newly constructed state-of-the-art facility includes a Healthy Living Center (with 24/7) access, Strength Training Center, Multi-Generational Community Room, Welcome Center, and Member Lounge. Many areas of the existing Y were renovated as part of the project including group exercise rooms, the Child Watch area and Youth & Family Lounge. Grateful that a large portion of the project was done ahead of schedule,  contractors are still hard at work in the Roehl Fieldhouse installing a very complex wood gym floor and walking/running track. Expected opening of the Roehl Fieldhouse is late April.

John Nystrom, Marshfield Clinic Health System YMCA CEO says he is excited to further the Y’s mission to the community. “The Y is more than a place to work out - we’re a place of community. Of course, members will have access to new fitness equipment and social areas, but there will be so much more; we’ll be providing a positive, healthy, and safe environment for children, improving our own lifestyles, and engaging our elderly population.”
