The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DNH) is posting updates about COVID-19 daily by 2 p.m. as it relates to Wisconsin at its website Click on "Outbreaks and Investigations."

As of March 18, 2020, DHS reported that 1577 people had tested negative for COVID-19 in Wisconsin, 106 tested positive. A statewide map shows the location of positive cases by county.

Also posted on the DHS website on March 18 was this notation: "More labs across the country are able to test for COVID-19. And now, Wisconsin clinicians can order tests without public health approval. Since tests are widely available, we will no longer report the number of people under investigation."

On March 17 DHS Secretary-Designee Andrea Palm signed an order for a statewide moratorium on mass gatherings of 10 or more people to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
