According to Centergy executive director Gordon Crow, USMCA will improve the North American Free Trade Agreement, commonly referred to as NAFTA.
“The USMCA will better serve the interests of central Wisconsin workers, farmers and ranchers, and businesses of all types,” Crow said. “The agreement supports trade policies that are mutually beneficial and will lead to freer markets, fairer trade and economic growth in central Wisconsin.”
According to Crow, in 2018, Wisconsin exports to Mexico were $3.4 billion, up 8% from 2017.
“Farms, dairies, food processors, automobile and truck sales, and manufacturing are impacted in significant ways by the passage of USMCA,” Crow said. “This needs to be passed and implemented.”
